If you would like to get involved in the Canadian Mental Health Association, there are many ways you can contribute to your local branch. In this section, you will find information about donating, career opportunities and volunteering.
Do you have lived experience of a mental health or addiction issue? We are always looking to connect with individuals and family members with lived experience who want to support their community with their story of recovery. Together we want to build a diverse movement of peers to empower our community.
Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region’s programs help people impacted by mental illness cope with their own illness or that of a family member, friend, or co-worker. We are a non-governmental, charitable organization that relies on contributions from donors like you to make a real difference to people whose lives have been affected by mental illness.
When you work at CMHA – Calgary Region, you are working for an agency that touches the lives of more than 17,000 Calgarians every year. You can take pride in the fact that you are part of a team that is helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society lead more fulfilling lives. You are also building a better community by contributing to CMHA – Calgary Region’s efforts to combat the stigma associated with mental illness and raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
We are always searching for skilled and enthusiastic volunteers! Volunteering with CMHA is an experience available for anyone who wants to give back to their community, and make a difference. We also encourage people who have lived experience with mental illness to volunteer as a way to engage with the community and provide inspiration to others.
