Peer Options Program

Home / We Support / Peer Options Program

The Peer Options program provides individuals a safe place to share with peers with lived experience who are now focused on wellness and recovery. Together participants learn the value and skills of building healthy friendships, as well as strive to develop peer support networks and transition to the community.

Download and print our Peer Options brochure.

Clients begin with the nine-week Art of Friendship skills group and transition into the Circle of Friends peer support group. Coordinators work with clients to set personal recovery goals including transition to the Circle of Friends and future transition to their community. Many graduates of the program give back to the program through peer leadership offering inspiration, understanding, mentorship and hope. This is an interactive, psycho-educational learning workshop that helps build self-awareness and interpersonal skills through topics such as human behaviour, responsibility & commitment, values, boundaries & trust, as well as dealing with conflict.
