POSITION SUMMARY:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â This position will support the Development and Communications team with marketing and social media campaigns to promote mental health and CMHA Calgary programs and services through online and traditional mediums, including social media, advertising, website properties, videos, etc.

REPORTS TO:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Senior Manager, Communications

KEY SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for curating, writing, scheduling, posting, monitoring, and engaging on CMHA Calgary’s social media, including responding to social media trends
- Filming, editing, and utilizing video content for a cross-section of marketing materials
- Responsible for updating and producing new content on CMHA Calgary’s website, including blogs and SEO utilization
- Assisting with implementing CMHA Calgary’s marketing and advertising plan and strategy, including traditional and digital advertising channels
- Assisting the Development and Communications team with other communications and marketing projects as needed
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent field.
- 1 – 3 years of related experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – including written and verbal skills coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and external contacts
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and tools, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Hootsuite, and Planoly, along with identifying social media trends.
- Proven skills and experience with website development and maintenance, including WordPress and SEO.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative suite of tools (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Outgoing, strong work ethic, and a high level of initiative, self-motivation, and forward-thinking.
- Strong copywriting, editing, interviewing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficient in photography and videography, including editing.
- Demonstrates excellent creative thinking skills.
- Sound judgement coupled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid Driver's License and have a vehicle.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required.
