A program to help people in crisis with support and coping skills in terms of suicide and bereavement is talking place in Strathmore. The Canadian Mental Health Association and Strathmore Family and Community Support Services are hosting the Suicide Bereavement Program, Life After Loss.
The group gives people one-on-one support with counselors and also support in group settings. They will meet at the Strathmore Aquatic Centre from 6 to 8:30 p.m. from January 20 to March 16, 2020.
Canadian Mental Health Association’s Sonya Quinlan-Jacob explained, “People will come together for a total of eight sessions and it’s meant to be psycho-educational and therapeutic mixed together. They will learn some different skills and work through their therapy process as well.”
