About CMHA Calgary
Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region (CMHA Calgary) is dedicated to being a leader in reducing the impact of mental illness and addiction in our community. For over 65 years, we’ve offered an integrated, person and family-centered approach focused on early intervention and prevention, driving measurable improvements in community resilience.

At CMHA Calgary, we believe recovery is possible. Our recovery model emphasizes wellness, moving beyond a diagnosis to empower individuals by building strengths, resiliency, and hope for a meaningful life. This approach is exemplified in our Peer Support program, where individuals with lived experience are trained to support others through shared understanding and hope.

We are committed to advocacy and leadership, using our platform to empower and organize the community. Our proven ability to engage and support those facing mental health and substance use challenges strengthens our community’s capacity to understand and offer support.
