Community Appreciation: April – June 2021
As we continue to navigate through this difficult time, CMHA Calgary wants to reflect on the generosity and support we’ve received from April – June 2021.
If you’re ever interested in hosting a community fundraiser or donating a portion of sales from a fundraising initiative to CMHA Calgary, please fill out our Community Fundraiser Form.
Community Support
March4Mike
March4Mike is raising mental health awareness and donations towards suicide prevention in honour of Mike who died by suicide two years ago. With the purchase of a $40 box of Boba Bombs, $10 of every purchase will go towards CMHA Calgary’s programs.
March4Mike has raised $5,737 so far, and has extended their fundraiser until June 30.
For every $10.00 raised, Fulcrum Fitness + Nutrition owner Melissa Moore ran 1km for a goal of 60km on race day. Past Fulcrum employees, clients, friends and family joined Melissa on Sunday, June 6, 2021, to raise money in support of CMHA Calgary.
Kilometers for Cash raised $5,319.
Robby’s Half Marathon
Robby Graham, along with his supporters, raised $4,000 surpassing his original goal of $1,000 in support of CMHA Calgary’s programs.
Robby chose to support CMHA Calgary because he resonated with a CMHA Calgary education session that was taught to him in high school. It inspired him so much, he applied to medical school and is in the process of becoming a psychiatrist.
Superstore
Superstore chose CMHA Calgary as their charity of choice for their CASHIER ASK program at the beginning of June. Cashiers at all 8 Superstore locations in Calgary asked customers to donate $2 or more to CMHA Calgary at check-out. This initiative raised $15,579 for our programs and services.
We cannot express how much we appreciate the continuous generosity from our local community members to support local mental health programs.
