Energize Don’t Hide 2021 Corporate Highlight: Genesis Land Development
This year, Genesis joined our Energize Don’t Hide 2021 Challenge as a way to actively engage and encourage employees, suppliers and homeowners to focus on their mental and physical well-being while supporting a good cause, as said by Iain Stewart, President & CEO of Genesis.
Raising $21,000 with 22 teams and 106 energizers, Genesis demonstrated that together, we can all generate a huge impact. As a company, Genesis Land completed over 180,000 minutes of physical activity.
Genesis completed Energize Don’t Hide 2021 Challenge with 106 energizers, 22 teams, 180,928 minutes of activity and raising a total of $21,000.
Since the closing of our Energize Don’t Hide Challenge, Genesis employees have continued to stay physically active with a renewed and refreshed focus.
“We’re carrying the momentum from the Challenge into our everyday lives with increased use of our fitness facility at our office headquarters. This facility saw many new faces over the last couple of months and they continue to show up. With the gradual (and hopefully continued) easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we’re connecting with each other more in this new space.”
They are also improving their workplace health and wellness by encouraging employees to talk openly about what has occurred over the last year and a half, and how it has affected their work, families and themselves.
This has sparked employees to really take advantage of the summer to spend time with loved ones whom they might not have had the opportunity to see before.
“July and August is summer vacation season so we’re taking available chances to spend time with our families and friends. Each day we’re sharing our experiences like camping, fishing, golfing, hiking, biking and overall energizing while the warm weather lasts!”
Importance of Mental Health
Mental health is a large and very important part of how Genesis Land operates.
“The mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our staff is important to us. Not only does it allow our staff to lead lives that flourish, it helps with our bottom line–higher self-esteem, fewer sick days, and higher energy levels– those all lead to happier and more productive lives.”
Genesis will continue to prioritize and encourage all of its staff to speak honestly about the state of their mental health, especially as people gradually come back to work.
Thank you, Genesis Land Development, for being a true Energize Don’t Hide champion.
