Inspire Hope With a #NoteToSelfYou’ve worked incredibly hard to get to where you are. You’ve faced down adversity. You may not have taken the traditional path because of socioeconomic barriers but you found a new path. You’re standing amongst peers. Believe them when they tell you that you’re great because you truly are. You are not fooling anyone, you’re actually impressing most. #impostersyndrome #selfcompassion
You’ve wasted a lot of time focusing on other people’s accomplishments, lifestyles, looks, etc. Be happy where you are and how you got there. If obsessive comparison disorder is a real thing, you have it. The amount of time and energy you put into worrying about others is depriving the resources you have available to contribute to your own personal growth. The trick is knowing the unique value of what you bring to the table. Whenever you focus on what other people have that you don’t, you give away your power. As Theodore Roosevelt said “Comparison is the thief of joy”. Decide that your energy will be used for believing in yourself and creating the life you deserve.
Last week my cousin passed away due to an illness he fought so hard to overcome. My hope is that everyone gets a reminder of how incredible and valuable of a person you are, and that there is strength in every day. Your best is your best no matter what, and bringing someone in to help with the heavy load is always a respectable option <3
…you are doing a beautiful job figuring out some heavy stuff. You’ve got this.
If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.
You are worthy of love, kindness, and all the beautiful things life has to offer. So, chin up, shoulders back, and face the world with the fierce determination of someone who knows their worth. Your story is still unfolding, and each chapter holds the promise of growth, resilience, and endless possibilities.
Embrace your individuality, celebrate your strengths, and don’t waste energy worrying about how you measure up to others. You’re enough, just as you are.
You are your own toughest critic, but you’re also your biggest cheerleader. Celebrate your progress, forgive your setbacks, and above all, love yourself fiercely. You are worthy of all the happiness life has to offer.
