An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 11, 2022
Capable Carers, led by a CMHA Calgary counsellor, offers a safe nonjudgmental environment that uses a psycho-educational and practical approach for those family members to learn coping skills and the capacity to support others while understanding the tools to help decrease burnout for themselves. This group discusses self-care, boundaries, communication, grief and loss, crisis recovery, etc.
Participants can openly discuss and share experiences, empathetically connect with others, and create a sense of hope. The group environment provides an opportunity for connection to others, decreased feelings of isolation, and increased feelings of hope.
When: Every Wednesday from March 16, 2022 – May 11, 2022 from 6 – 8 pm MST
Where: Each session will be held on Zoom
Cost: We base our group fees on a sliding scale according to your income. That means you pay only what you can afford. Payment is due at the time of registration.
Space is limited, maximum 7 attendees.
