If you would like to get involved in the Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region, there are many ways you can contribute to your local branch. In this section, you will find information on how to get involved with donating, career opportunities and volunteering.
Do you have lived experience of a mental health or substance use concern? We are always looking to connect with individuals and family members with lived experience who want to support their community with their story of recovery. Together we want to build a diverse movement of peers to empower our community.
Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region’s programs help people impacted by mental health or substance use concerns cope with their own concerns or that of a family member, friend, or co-worker. We are a non-governmental, charitable organization that relies on contributions from donors like you to make a real difference to people whose lives have been affected by mental illness.
Host a Community Event
Host a fundraiser with proceeds supporting CMHA Calgary. By hosting a community event, you have the unique opportunity to raise funds and share the message of mental wellness in the community.
When you work at CMHA Calgary, you are working for an agency that touches the lives of more than 17,000 Calgarians every year. You can take pride in the fact that you are part of a team that is helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society lead more fulfilling lives. You are also building a better community by contributing to CMHA Calgary efforts to combat the stigma associated with mental illness and raise awareness about the importance of mental health.
We are always searching for skilled and enthusiastic volunteers! Volunteering with CMHA Calgary is an experience available for anyone who wants to give back to their community, get involved and make a difference. We also encourage people who have lived experience with mental illness to volunteer as a way to engage with the community and provide inspiration to others.
