Music 4 Life 2015

The I Will Survive Association presents the 3rd annual Music 4 Life Concert on Saturday, October 24, 2015.

Looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday night? Then head down to Ceili’s on 4th for the Music 4 Life Concert 2015 – where local music meets a great cause.

The annual event is presented by I Will Survive Association; a group of individuals impacted by the tragic loss of a friend, on a mission to make stigma a thing of the past by getting people talking about suicide and mental illness through music and art.

This year’s line-up includes performances from The Ashley Hundred, Mitch Belot Band, Run Deer Run, and Amelie Patterson.

Each year all proceeds from the Music 4 Life Concert are given to mental health organizations here in Calgary and we, CMHA Calgary, are honoured to again be one of the charities of choice. The other organizations include The Centre for Suicide Prevention, The Calgary Counselling Centre, and ConnecTeen.

According to Executive Director Steven Leong, the organization has “taken on a life of its own” since its launch three years ago.

Along with their own events, I Will Survive has been involved in a handful of third-party events including the Peak 95.3’s Peak Performance Project. Leong will also be the emcee at CMHA’s 11th Annual Survivors of Suicide Loss Day on November 7th.
