We have been very fortunate to be on the receiving end of many different fundraisers raising funds towards the continuation of our mental health programs and services.

Community Support

TAQA Calgary – Hockey Tournament

TAQA Calgary hosted its third annual charity hockey tournament in support of CMHA Calgary.

All proceeds raised from the 50/50 cash raffle, prize raffles, and silent auction were donated to CMHA Calgary, which totalled $19,104!


Cashier Ask Program

The Real Canadian Superstore selected CMHA Calgary as the charity of choice for the Cashier Ask Program, raising a total of $16,802.


Calvary FC

Cavalry FC is an outstanding supporter of initiatives that make a positive contribution to the lives of Albertans.

They chose CMHA Calgary as the beneficiary of the 50/50 raffle sold by the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation during the club’s home games throughout the month of May and June 2022 in an effort to give back to the community.


Kilometers for Cash

From April 18 to June 18, 2022, Fulcrum Fitness + Nutrition hosted its third annual “Kilometers for Cash” event in support of CMHA Calgary. Melissa Moore, the event organizer, ran 1km for every $10 raised, up to a maximum of 30km.

Families, friends, and community members were invited to run, walk, bike, rollerblade or skateboard a 5km loop through Auburn Bay. They invited the community to donate, participate or sign up to raise their own funds for the Kilometers for Cash initiative. The total funds raised were $6,065.


Spring Fling For a Cause

The Calgary Disc Golf Club raised $4,307 through a silent auction and mulligan sales at their Spring Fling for a Cause tournament!


The Connectors

A group of SAIT students “The Connectors” spread awareness about mental health issues and promoted the idea that everyone should feel welcome when asking for help. They held an online prize raffle and donated all proceeds of $753 to CMHA Calgary.


Drop The Mask

On May 28, 2022, Drop the Mask YYC hosted a fundraising gala supporting mental health awareness, with proceeds going to CMHA Calgary.

The event was named as an homage to the safe lifting of COVID-19 restrictions and encouraged attendees and donors to drop the metaphorical “masks” we wear regarding our mental health. Drop the Mask YYC aims to take what is typically a solemn topic and create a fun atmosphere where mental health becomes approachable and easier to talk about.


HotShop Charity Spin Ride

On April 24, HotShop Mission instructors (Gillian and Camila) donated their time to the local community by offering a free charity spin class.

Donations were encouraged in support of CMHA Calgary, and a total of $202 was raised.


Banded Peak Brewing

During May, The Banded Peak Brewing Company, a local brewery in Calgary with a focus on supporting our community, held a fundraiser where they donated $1 from each pint sold in support of CMHA Calgary. The fundraiser raised $317.

ANHWP Group for Mental Health

Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group (ANHWP) committed their time to support its team and customers by building awareness for mental health.

ANHWP matched employee donations throughout the month of May (up to $500) in support of CMHA Calgary.


Mudders Mental Health Awareness

Mudders Business Solutions ran a mental health awareness campaign dedicated to a member of their team who was involved in an accident that resulted in PTSD and a struggle to find the help they needed.

Mental illness means so much for us and has affected so many of our friends, family and loved ones over the years who even today continue to fight and receive help.”


100,000 Steps For Mental Health

A group of friends (Nicholas, Zennin, and Daniel) completed a 100,000-step challenge for mental health in support of CMHA Calgary.

They raised $2,330 through donations from friends, coworkers, and the general public.


Never Skate Alone

Lights Out Events was incredibly proud to present Never Skate Alone II: An Event for Mental Health at WinSport.

Through a 50/50 cash raffle, they raised funds in support of CMHA Calgary.


Golf Marathon for Mental Health at Valley Ridge Golf Club

Valley Ridge Golf Club hosted a “Golf Marathon for Mental Health” fundraising initiative geared toward raising awareness and funds for mental health within the local community while simultaneously raising funds for the Valley Ridge Junior program.

Pledges/donations were taken through the pro-shop. 50% of the proceeds will be given to CMHA Calgary. 50% of all proceeds will also be given to the Valley Ridge Junior program.


We cannot express how much we appreciate the continuous generosity of our local community members in supporting local mental health programs.
