May 2 – June 30, 2022: Energize Don’t Hide Challenge

By

So many of us have felt the rippling effects of the pandemic over the last two years. At the end of 2021, 1 in 4 Canadians (approximately 336,000 Calgarians) identified symptoms of depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is an increase from 1 in 5 in 2020.*

Energize Don’t Hide is a way to take care of your mental health, physical health and your community. From May 2 – June 30, 2022 join thousands of energizers who will cycle, walk, run, meditate and workout across Canada to raise funds for CMHA Calgary youth and adult mental health programs.

Why Energize?

CMHA Calgary creates awareness, educates, and provides support for individuals and families living with a mental health or substance use concern, or a loss by suicide. We provide community-based programs, including supportive and independent living, homeless outreach, suicide bereavement and peer support for families and individuals. We work closely with other community organizations to bridge gaps in the mental health care system and facilitate access to important services and resources.

Participating in Energize Don’t Hide shows your support for all Canadians to have access to mental health resources, when they need them the most. Funds raised for Energize Don’t Hide will be used to extend and expand our programs and services that are in higher demand than ever before due to the effects of the pandemic.

Share Your Story

We want to highlight individuals, teams and organizations on CMHA Calgary’s website, newsletter and social media channels who are supporting mental health programs in Calgary, and encouraging others to join the Energize Don’t Hide MOVEment.
