Reach Your Peak for Mental Health

This blog post was written by Nicola and Courtney Small from Reach Your Peak Naturals

Over the last two years, our mental health and resiliency has been significantly put to the test. From being distanced from our friends and family, losing loved ones, and being faced with changes to life as we know it. There is no doubt that this has taken a toll on our mental health as a society. The conversation should now be louder than ever; let’s speak up about mental health challenges and advocate for mental health initiatives in our community.

We are Reach Your Peak (RYP) Naturals. You can also call us Nicola and Courtney Small. Two sisters originally from Vancouver, BC now living in Calgary, AB.

We aim to strengthen the connection between mental and physical health. We believe focusing on physical health can have a significantly positive impact on mental health and vice versa. We provide consumers with all-natural products so that you too can ‘Reach Your Peak’ potential every day.

On September 11, 2022, we will be hosting a 10km run/walk/wheel/ride run race at Pearce Estate Park, Picnic Site 1 at 8:45 am – 2:45 pm in Calgary, AB.

Our proceeds will be going to Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary Region’s YouthSMART Initiative. CMHA Calgary’s YouthSMART initiative (Youth Supporting  Mental Health and  Resiliency  Together) integrates mental health learning opportunities in local schools and youth community groups. Operating for over a decade, and reaching close to 25,000 young people each year, YouthSMART provides mental health education, proven to generate an awareness of mental health topics, combat stigma, and encourage appropriate help-seeking behaviours amongst Calgary and rural area youth.

Not a runner or not interested in making the 10km distance happen? No problem. Come after to meet local companies and people in your community! We’d love to meet you. Dogs are welcome… no they are encouraged! Not able to make it? No problem. You can still donate here or sign up anyway and run it virtually!
